A suggestion for a charming place to stay with very good food and friendly hosts is the Molino del Santo in BenaojŠn, about 15 minutes outside of Ronda, featured in Karen Brown's Spain guide. We stayed there a few nights and wished we had longer. You can tour the white villages with that as a base - Arcos is quite doable as a day trip in combination with some of the other villages.
Ronda is a bit congested, but maybe not around Thanksgiving - the Molino del Santo is out in the country - no parking issues, etc. http://www.molinodelsanto.com/ I'd grab the Parador in Granada while available.
