Hi Pat,
Here are Rome and Vico Equense (Sorrento area)

If you want any other info please ask. I posted a very brief overview. The Due Torri is a GEM. If you want to be in the historic center. If you want the Vatican (A healthy walk away maybe 1k or so) it may not be close enough. We took cabs to the Borghese gallery (a must and make res as soon as u get there) for 10E and a cab back from Vatica for 10E walked to and around Colliseum and took cab back 10E all else we walked to. Arrival we took the express train to the Termini and a 10E cab to hotel. Do not talk to anyone offering you a taxi! Just go outside and find the regular taxi stand where there are ALWAYS Rome taxis (white). There are people with a badge saying TAXI and offer to take you for 30-40 euros. AVOID them. Due Torri breakfast is, as are most, a non event. If you can get 10 or 15 Euros off your rate take it. All it is is mediocre coffee, roll, American Box cereal (CF RB etc), yogurt. Some bad fruit and sweets. Go to any bar (we liked Bar Milan up the street) for better, cheaper same. David |
