Subject: Re: Hotel in Madrid
Hi Etta

Here are my suggestions for Madrid

OUR HOTEL INFORMATION

Hotel Arosa Calle Salud, 21 91 5321 600 Good hotel in the heart of Madrid - one of the best buys in Madrid

EATS - MADRID

The best experience in Spain was at the following

El Abuela 12 Victoria 91 521 2319 They only serve shrimp - 2 different preparations - grilled shrimp & shrimp sauteed with garlic and served along with their homemade red wine. You stand at a bar, eat the shrimp, throw the shells on the floor, and have the time of your life. Highly recommended - the shrimp were fabulous and the experience was unique.

Botin Calle de Cuchilleros 17 91 366 42 17 The oldest restaurant in Madrid. Food is very good - they specialize in roast suckling pig & lamb. But it is quite expensive.

La Bola Bola 5 91 547 6930 The house specialty is Cocido a la Madrilena - thick soup served with crusty bread and a hearty red wine. Only served at lunch and it is worth the trip.

CERAMICS

Antiqua Casa Talavera Isabel la Catolica 2 91 547 3417 The best of Madrid's numerous ceramic shops. Fabulous choice of ceramics.

Enjoy
