|Subject: Re: Avoid this Tourist Trap and Use Another|
Hi, Lesley and other Ziners,
My negative list includes the company Guide Friday/Grey Line. They run tours from Dublin to Glendalough, Powerscourt and Russborough House. About one hour was wasted on lunch in some very expensive tourist shop-restaurant, the time to visit Glendalough was very limited and the visit of Powerscort was totally omited (I had to go there myself next day). Such scandalous tour I never did. The only nice point were jokes of the driver.
At the same time HIGH level tours (although a bit pricey) are run by Mary Gibbons Tours. The guide knows a lot and their tour to Tara and New Grange was unforgettable. In opposite to other Irish companies the guide is not a driver, but a professional person.
Sincerely, Alex Elbert
