Subject: RE: India and Bhutan
Gail, My daughter was in India last summer. She toured Delhi and Agra with my sister-in-law who lives in Bombay (Mumbai). In Agra, they hired a tour guide with a rickshaw at the train station, who provided a personal tour of the Taj Mahal, the Fort in Agra, and a marble manufacturer where they learned how to make in-laid marble; he also took them to an authentic restaurant for lunch. This guide cost R300 -350 rupees for one day. He spoke English and knew the history of the sites, providing good information. She stayed with friends while in Delhi, so they really only saw the major sites in addition to spending time a this family's personal club.
