|Subject: Re: Driving distances between European cites|
when you try to determine driving times in Germany you will have to think about WHEN to drive and in which area. I guess most websites will calculate on always the same basis of speed on certain kind of roads. But when you are around Brussels, Köln, Ruhrgebiet (Düsseldorf, Bochum and so on), Frankfurt, Stuttgart, München - I recommend to avoid the areas if possible on rush hours or at least stay off the motorways. Traffic jams are a normal occasion in those areas. Usually in most of those areas the big traffic is into the city in the morning and out of the city in the evening - but this is only a very general rule.
If you have special route questions, feel free to ask.
