Subject: Re: Japan? |
Hi, Debbie,
I am no Japanese expert, as a matter of fact, I just posted a message last week asking for recommendations of guide books to Japan. But I grew up in a family where my parents sometimes referred to household things in Japanese, thus I know chopsticks in Japanese are called "Ha-shi", two syllables. If you cannot use Ha-shi, then may be it is more important to learn how to pronounce fork in Japanese? I think if you just say "fork" in English, most waiters would understand you :-) Mei-Ching (Massachusetts) |
