Hi, Cynthia & Ivan -
You should have a wonderful trip! Give yourself enough time to explore the area around Pt. Townsend, and be sure to drive up to Hurricane Ridge, near Pt. Angeles. Here's a site for Pt. Townsend: http://www.ptguide.com and one that links you to Centrum, the summer series of concerts, readings and workshops that take place at Ft. Worden, just outside of town. http://www.centrum.org There are lots of B&B's in both places. Pt. Townsend is VERY popular with tourists in the summer, so reserve as soon as you know your dates if you want a particular B&B. You do have to take a ferry. There are several choices, all run by the Washington State Ferries. Here's a useful website: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries In Seattle, I often recommend the Hotel Vintage Park to visitors, because it's small, comfortable, well-located downtown, and has a great restaurant. http://www.hotelvintagepark.com Hope some of this is useful! When you have your dates set, let us know - I think there are several Zine members in the Seattle area. Julie |
