Subject: Re: Avignon and Provence in September |
Hi Alan,
sorry - no exact hits in my list for your questions, but maybe two other things you'd be interested in. My travel in that area was in late October btw..... - Pont du Gard is usually a must in that area - I was there in the very late afternoon, the visitor centre was just about closing but I could go to the bridge without problems never- theless - and the atmosphere was great. Nearly nobody except me, moon rising behind the bridge, I made gorgeous photos (sorry, slides, not digital). - In general I had great chambre d'hôtes thruout France, but in the Provence and areas near it was very difficult to find anything suitable. The only thing which was really ok was my small hotel in Aix-en-Provence. It is called "Quatre dauphins" cause it's situated at fountain with dolphins on a small square. Greetings from Germany, Baerbel. |
