|Subject: Re: Black Forest Christmas|
Hi, Barry and Denise,
A few years ago I spent Christmas at the Hotel Eisenhut in a little Bavarian town (on the Romantic Road) called Rothenburg o/d Tauber. The hotel was beautiful, charming, historic (made up of several townhomes from 15th-18th centuries -- however, oldest part of the hotel near the check-in desk dates to the 13th century!). We had two 5- course dinners in the hotel (part of a Christmas package) that were OUTSTANDING. (Hotel Eisenhut http://www.eisenhut.com/index.php3)
The town itself is unbelievably charming -- Walt Disney could not have created better. They have Christmas market as well though I only caught the tail end of it since they usually close up a few days before Christmas.
If you're interested you can see some of my photos from that holiday: http://erina.fotopic.net/c9110.html
