|Subject: Re: Las Vegas Hotels|
Could you tell us what days of the week you will be staying? Friday, Saturday, Sundays are "premium" nights - and are rarely discounted. Our advise is that you stay on (or near) the strip and not at the Freemont Street area. The two are quite a distance away, and except for the giant overhead light show on Freemont Street, there's really not much to see or do in the area. The strip is loaded with "free" attractions, from "sightseeing" your way around Paris, NYC, Venice, etc... you can see enjoyable public showings of the breathtaking aqua-ballet of the Bellagio fountains to the Pirateship battle at Treasure Island, all within walking distance of one another. Off strip hotels, like the Orleans (a good hotel/casino itself) provides free shuttle service over to the strip, but can offer Sun-Thurs rooms around $30 on priceline.
