|Subject: Re: Las Vegas Hotels|
The last time we went to Las Vegas, we stayed at the Rio. Just off the Strip (which is the place to be) and great rooms at decent prices. Some of the older hotels seem awfully seedy to me, and I would avoid them.
I also wanted to comment on your "all we'll be doing that night is having some dinner and sleeping." In Las Vegas, 2 a.m. is like 2 p.m. Even though our party of six includes four children, no one wants to go to bed when there is still so much activity everywhere, everything is brightly lit, swarms of people are wandering the streets, etc. I'm sure there are people who manage to get to sleep at 10 p.m., but I've never been able to figure out how to do that in Las Vegas.
