Ziners,
Ira recommended pizza at Brandi's when you are in Naples. Ah, pizza... Naples. I'm not a fan of Naples. It's just a big (and not particularly attractive) city, with not much to see beyond the (small, but interesting) museum containing the treasures found at Pompeii. But whenever I'm nearby, I always visit; it is, after all, the birthplace of pizza. My personal favourite is one of the two places where pizza is said to have originated: Da Michele Via Cesare Sersale, 1/3 80100 Napoli phone: +39 081 553 9204 hours: 08:00 - 23:00 And yes, even a Web site (in Italian): http://www.interviu.it/verace/michele.htm It's at the corner of Via Pietro Colletta, 50 meters off Corso Umberto (look for the vertical red "Antica Pizzeria" sign). Truly "ground zero" for pizza! Doug -- San Francisco -- www.onebag.com |
