Subject: Fernie, B.C, a four-sport destination in the Rockies
Hi Ziners,

An article from the NY Times (2004-10-10) about Fernie, a resort town in the Rocky Mountains, in southeastern British Columbia. It is a three-plus hours' drive south of Calgary, four and a half hours northeast of Spokane, Washington. It is an hour from the nearest airport at Cranbrook which has regular flights to Vancouver and Calgary. The relaxed resort is a haven for sports - mountain biking, fly fishing, climbing and golf, as well as the expected winter sports. The author says that many lodges offer guided tours on the extensive trail system for wildlife and wildflower enthusiasts. Sounds good to me!
