Subject: Re: altitude meds
I found the information about the dosage of acetazolamide I took for altitude sickness when I was in Peru early this past summer. Was it Pam who asked? Hope this info reaches you before your trip. Anyway, I had a prescription for 8 250mg tablets, and was instructed to take one-half tablet 2X a day, starting one day before day of travel. I was to continue for 2-3 days at altitude. I had no trouble with altitude sickness nor side effects due to the meds. Joan Peterson
