|Subject: Re: Christmas / Holidays Away from Home|
Hi Ziners, Lesley in Toronto asked about spending Christmas
away from home, especially in Australia. I spent one
Christmas in Brisbane -- in the tropical north -- and it was
quite unusual. It's hot that time of the year, but the
"Santas" still dressed up in their red and white warm suits!
All the traditions were the same, except in hot weather. I
live in Southern Calif., so I'm used to warm weather, but it
does get chilly at Christmas here, so Brisbane at Christmas
was a new experience.
As I wanted to get back to my family in California, I flew back on Christmas Day; however, due to the time difference, I arrived back in California in the afternoon on Christmas Day! So I still had Christmas with my family.
