Subject: Re: Walking Holidays in Europe
Hi Frances, A Canadian company I've heard about is Walker's World: http://www.walkersworld.com/ About 3 years ago. we took a walking holiday in Southern Italy with an English Company called HF Holidays. We thought it was excellent and would go with them again. The leaders are all volunteers so don't expect anything too slick but we had very comfortable accomodation with some excellent local guides and very full and interesting days. The group was small - about 12 - I believe and the only disappointment was the food in the hotel which was definitely geared to English Tourists! (web address deleted by mod Linda - not working) If you e-mail them, they will send a brochure to you and you will see from that there are many different types of vacations from which to choose throughout Europe.

By the way, through an error on our part, we were scheduled with an "Explorer" Tour which has more of an emphasis on sightseeing and a bit less on Walking. That was perfect for us but you may be in better shape than we are. All the best, Judy, Abbotsford BC
