Hi Frank, I would add Avila to your trip. It is only an hour or so from Madrid, is a small, beautiful, walled city. A Unesco World Heritage site. Very different from Toledo. You can see it in a daytrip or spend the night and enjoy it after the daytrippers leave. We stayed at the Parador back in 2000. However we wished we were at the Palacio instead. http://www.veladahoteles.com/ You can find out more about Avila here. http://tinyurl.com/4bsn4 And more about what / where to eat while there here. http://tinyurl.com/5tfh4

Enjoy, David USA
