|Subject: Re: Local transit in southern France|
Hi Ziners and Frances,
It is possible to visit southern France without car rental.
Cécile and I spent 2 weeks in Provence last september. We rented an apartment in Arles. From there we visited the region in day-trips (Avignon, Tarascon, St-Rémy de Provence, Aix-en-Provence, Calanques de Cassis, Les Baux de Provence, Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer), using train or bus network. We suggest you to stay in a major town, well served by bus and train.
The tourism offices could help you with bus and/or train schedules. The tourism office in Arles sent us plentiful informations.
