|Subject: Re: Itinerary for Italy|
Following up on Andrew's point about amount of territory to cover in two winter days - the time of year does matter. The shorter days means that your touring time is considerably curtailed. Sunrise on Jan 10th is 7:48 am and sunset is 4:58 pm. I enjoy wandering towns and cities after dark but it isn't much fun to be driving the narrow winding roads back to your hotel.
By going in winter you will see another Italy that many of us haven't seen, so enjoy. A more modest itinerary will be more enjoyable. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=341
