Subject: Re: Sleeping on Overnight Flights |
Hi Tom,
In coach, I am lucky to doze with one of those horseshoe shaped pillows. In Business Class, with reclining seats, I do a little better but certainly do not get the same sleep I get in a bed. My husband, on the other hand, sits down in the seat and falls asleep, sometimes before the plane leaves the gate. I have never taken any pills, but if my husband takes an Advil it knocks him out for hours (and helps back pain). Unfortunately, alcohol tends to make most people sleepy but then results in wakefulness after a couple of hours. I know there is not a solution for everyone. The best thing might be to be well rested before leaving so you can tolerate one night of not such good sleep! Lisa in Chicago |
