Altho I never made it a plan, I found I had visited many Hemingway haunts inadvertently & discovered only upon arrival how interesting it was to read & retrace his steps.

I loved Oak Park & Cuba especially. Sitting in his favorite watering hole in Havana & chatting up a bunch of university students is one of my great travel memories.

Don't forget Ketchum, Idaho, tho not all the memories associated with that area are upbeat.
