|Subject: Re: Antarctica|
I am a retiree and took a cruise to Antarctica in February 2002. Before booking my cruise, I talked to several people who had gone to Antarctica. The youngish recommended the adventure cruises. The older ones recommended a larger, more stable ship. The trip goes through some very rough waters. I went with Orient Lines' Marco Polo. Since it is a large ship, it was not full (Antarctica limits the number going); therefore, the single supplement was modest. I took the tour that also included the Chilean fjords.
I loved it!
Whatever you choose, I am sure you will enjoy it. The vastness and the sparkling whiteness of Antarctica is a wonderful experience.
