Subject: CDG transportation

We were in Paris in August and took the RER (train) which connects to the Gare du Nord station where we hopped on the Metro to take us to a stop near our hotel. Train tickets are purchased at CDG; Metro tickets purchased in the station. Aside from the time it took us to find the ticket agent, transportation time was about 40 minutes. Be forewarned, the Paris metro is not traveller friendly - lots of stairs to consider if you are carrying luggage.

Here's a site with the information.

Friends of ours have eaten at the Eiffel Tower restaurant and tell us the experience was amazing. The food was excellent and the service outstanding, verging on over-the-top. It is very expensive and advance reservations are a must but it may be perfect for a birthday celebration.
