I am praying that there are no more disasters yet to come in SE Asia. My heart goes out to all the sufferers.
As far as taking stock of any risks, natural or man-made, into account when planning a trip, I will take heed of man- made ones but not necessarily natural ones. Obviously, if I was heading into an active volcano or an imminent hurricane, I'd pull back, but I wouldn't be put off going to those places otherwise. But walking into a war zone, or places that are prone to (terrorist) bombings? No, I don't have a death wish.
