Subject: North of the Arctic Circle
Fellow Ziners:

In early June, my wife and I are planning to participate in a tour which begins in Tromso, North of the Arctic Circle, in Norway. It goes North from there, and will include a hike (optional) to the northernmost tip of Europe.

We have made numerous trips to warm climes, Africa, South America, Southeast Asia, but never to the frigid parts of the world.

Any tips (warnings?) about preparations and things to look for and/or avoid would be greatly appreciated. We have heard from folks who been there in years past that bugs - even that far north! - are a a problem; any comments about that?
