I've heard varying stories on this, so I think it's up to the frame of mind that the particular customs officer is in at the time. I know (personally) of Canadians being denied access to the U.S. for having a Cuban immigration stamp in their passports. Friends of mine were denied entry at Pearson Airport for a trip to Las Vegas. What's worse, is that they fought (and lost) with their cancellation insurance company and are trying to complain to the U.S. Gov't via their Federal MP that the U.S. can't apply travel ban's to non U.S. Citizens.
