|Subject: Tolerance and understanding|
I'm sure that most of us find that visiting other countries and cultures makes us more understanding and tolerant of differences. I know that I have often wondered why we didn't adopt some of the practices I have seen on my travels, only to have them introduced in Canada years later. The multicultural makeup of Toronto has brought many wonderful things to us. Other times when I travel, it makes me appreciate home even more, while still enjoying the experience.
I recently heard someone say that President Bush had never travelled outside the US until be became president. You can't believe everything you hear, and the person who said it on the radio had a point to make, so I didn't know if that was true.
Does anyone know?
