|Subject: Re: Travel in Scandinavia in December|
Here's a slightly different viewpoint. I lived in Oslo for several years, and have relatives in Sweden that I visit regularly. December is a great time to be in Oslo. There is snow, Christmas is in the air everywhere. We went cross country skiing many evenings; weekends at friends cabins in the mountains. There were trams and trains to go everywhere, but I could still drive to work almost every day. Then something special all week up to New Years. It was great, either with the friends in Oslo or aunts and cousins in Sweden. I still go back at Christmas. I live in Seattle now, and Oslo seems even brighter in the winter, probably because of the snow.
