Subject: Airline food
Hi Ziners,

I booked my flight and for the first time, I special-ordered a meal. Don't know whether it will be better or worse than usual (Air Canada, low calorie)!

People complain about airline food all the time. Some flights don't offer any meals at all. Others brag that it is special. When a friend got us upgraded on British Airways, I loved the "raid the larder" feature. My only complaint - the flight was an overnight flight and you can't really enjoy a meal served so late in the evening.

I haven't been on a flight where food is not included at meal times. But when I take the train, I usually brown-bag it. That's what I did in Europe too. Which would you prefer - free food or brown-bagging (or available for purchase on board)?
