|Subject: Re: Germany in March|
The real "not to miss" in Berlin is the palaces of Potsdam - you need the whole day to visit all palaces, to walk in parks and to see the town of Potsdam itself. Don't miss the palace where Churchil, Stalin and Truman were sitting! Neue Palace and Sansousy is a must!
In Berlin itself, Pergamon Museum***, Charlottenburg with museums of art (Picasso...) and archeology (Nefertiti's mummy)***, visit of Reichstag (at least to climb to the top), Neue Synagogue and the Cathedral, Kurfurstendam, Bauhaus museum, Kreuzberg area, Unter Den Linden, Painitngs Museum in West Berlin, Bode Museum in the East and more.
Take a boat cruise of Spree (leaves from the Cathedral).
Don't miss the opportunity to go to Opera Unter Den Linded (better than Deutsch Opera), variete (like Wintergarten Das Variete), any show in Freidrichstadt Palace and so on. The cultural life in Berlin is amongst the most developed in Europe! Try to taste it.
If you need more info, I can give you. I was there for 10 days and it was unforgettable cultural and historical experience.
