One of my favourite things to do in London is to visit "Little Venice" - Warwick Street tube station. You can also catch a boat cruise there to take you up the Thames. People live permanently on houseboats and have a regular little community. There's some lovely Georgian architecture in the area and a small, pretty park.
Don't miss Fortnum and Mason, Harrod's food court and some of the outdoor markets.
It's kind of corny but I always enjoy Speaker's Corner at Hyde Park on a Sunday morning - a real cast of characters and hecklers. And yes, see a show - I saw "Chicago" on Easter weekend last year.
On my last trip in April, my cousin took me to Shepherd's Bush market as well as the local eel and pie shop - there aren't too many authentic ones of these left.
