|Subject: Re: Brief Amsterdam Visit|
Anne is right; the train takes you to Amsterdam within 14 minutes. The Central Station is situated in the center of Amsterdam. From here you can reach many points of interest because it is easy to walk to this spots. There is also the possibility to jump on a canal boat. There are several canal boats leaving from the Central Station. Of course you can take a taxi to a place of interest too. (the Rijksmuseum with the famous Nightwatch, the house of Anne Frank etc.) But I would walk to the Damrak, see the Royal Palace on the Dam (from outside), do some shopping, have a cup of coffee and take the train back to Schiphol again.
