Subject: Re: "Fugasa" bread in Argentina |
Hello,
I was not aware so far about an Argentinian "Fugasa".
However, it seems very similar to our Genoese "Focaccia"
(which in our dialect is called "Fugassa").
As in Argentina a lot of people have Italian origins
(by the way, the dialect of the "Boca" area in Buenos
Aires is derived from the Genoese dialect), I would not
be surprised that "Fugasa" comes from our Genoese
specialty.
