Hi Judith,
Just to sort of confuse you, we stay at the Best Western's Left Bank St Germain every year (past 6 yrs) and are always happy with everything! The location is superb (near the Hotels that Sandy mentioned) and they have a great buffet breakfast which my husband loves (as he doesn't get a chance to eat before going to work.) The breakfast is included in the price of the room - not an English breakfast, but it more than suffices -- if you like to sit and have fresh croissants, jam, cheeses, cold meats, cold cereal and the like. The Breakfast room is small, but it was fine for us to get us going and out the door -- early! This yr we splurged and took a suite (called a large double) and it was very, very comfortable. The bathrooms are large and well lit and the staff is fabulous!!! It's one block from the Odeon Metro stop - which will put you anywhere you want to go. Also, it's about 6 min. walk to the St Michel walking area and in the other direction its about 6 min to L'Eglise St Germain -- I would highly recommend it. Last but not least, if it hasn't been mentioned and you are of a certain age, they give AARP discounts or AAA and you can cancel (as with all Best Western Hotels) within about 24 hrs of your reservation. (You'd have to check on this last one about cancellation policies) Good luck Susie Newton, MA |
