I was in Paris a year ago and took the RER line B (the RER lines are like the Metro, but extend far into the suburbs) direct from CDG Terminal 2 to the Luxembourg stop in the heart of the Left Bank, and that took about 45 minutes. The same line continues on past Orly which is not as far as CDG from the heart of the city, but unfortunately a change of trains is necessary, to the Orlyval express, at Antony. I would be comfortable saying say two hours is more than enough, except I don't know how much waiting time is involved at the transfer point.
