Subject: Hotel in Rome |
Hello Judy,
I can recommend the hotel I have stayed at the
last two times I was in Rome and where I will
most likely stay the next time. This is the Hotel
Parlamento at 5 Via della Convertite.
The hotel is only a few feet from Via del Corso, a 5
minute walk from Piazza de Spagna and about 10 from
the Trevi Fountain.
It is less than a block from Piazza San Silvestro, a fairly large bus stop if you plan to use public transportation. Within two blocks I have been able to catch a bus to just about any place in Rome I have wanted to go. I do not know the present rate. Frommer has called it inexpensive, and I agree for that area. Breakfast is included though there is no restaurant, which Frommer includes. I have always found the staff very helpful and pleasant. Also there are rooms one flight up from reception. Believe me I am not a stair climber, but other advantages have outweighed the steps. I hope this has helped. Joan in Illinois |
