I like the nylon travel bags by Longchamps. They have sturdy leather handles and a leather flap and they neatly fold up into a small package when not in use. I have two of them and they must be about 10 years old and look as good as the day I bought them.

Many duty-free shops in airports sell them. I bought one here in NY at Sak's and I bought the other one in Paris at Galeries Lafayette.
