|Subject: Re: Diabetics traveling on BA|
After 9-11, my husband and I flew BA, Cathay Pacific, United, Qantas and other airlines with his diabetic equipment in the carry-on and were NEVER asked about it, never, never. We did have a letter from his Doc, the airlines had in their computer that he was diabetic BUT neither the airline personnel or security (in various countries, including the US, the UK and Canada) inquired or asked to see anything. Not only did I take his blood sugar but I gave him his shots at our seats (couldn't get both of us in the toilet!) with no problem.
Sounds like someone took themselves too seriously!
Cheers! Jo in rainy Sunnyvale!
