Another nickname I remember from my younger years goes to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida fondly referred to as "Ft. Liquordale" due to all the drunken spring break student parties.

Speaking of which, a young man from our area on a trip to Cancun last week, was found dead in the Caribbean after going on a "bar tour" and supposedly getting thrown through a plate glass window and bleeding to death. Our local paper said that the Ontario coroner has ordered an autopsy and our local police have not received any return calls from the Cancun judiciary. Apparently, the Canadian embassy is now involved in trying to establish exactly what happened.
