I'm casting one more vote FOR San Gimignano. It is a delightful little town: cobbled streets lined with artisans' shops; wonderful local cheeses, sausages and wines; magnificent views from atop THE tower ... and fabulous vistas of the Tuscan countryside viewed from some fine restaurants. There's a lovely FEEL to San Gimignano. A glass of the local Vernacia served well-chilled is a must. Ahhh!
