Hi Ziners
I read Martha's posting about cooking holidays, then by coincidence saw in the Sydney "Sun Herald" newspaper yesterday that Tempo Holidays are currently offering a 5 day French Food Lovers Cooking holiday, in association with Lyon's Institute Paul Bocuse and the Hotel Sofitel. The package costs $2599 (AUD) for the course, and includes cooking and pastry classes, cheese and wine tasting, five lunches and 1 dinner at the institute, 1 dinner at Paul Bocuse's restaurant, a guided city tour, a guided tour of Les Halles de Lyon food market with a chef, as well as 4- star accommodation and breakfast, and transfers from hotel to institute. Full information is available on www.tempoholidays.com Dates are in May, June and July. I haven't tried a cooking holiday, but have used Tempo for a Rome short stay, and 3-day trip to Sorrento and Capri and was happy with the standard of everything offered.
