I traveled to Malta the first week in September for five nights and we found the rates four years ago extremely modest. We stayed at two different hotels just to have a taste of the two islands and had a driver and car, the cost of which was split three ways. We have discussed Malta on the forum before and I know that many travelers are easily able to navigate by themselves.
