Hi Ziners,
the Underground/tube service to Terminal 4 only is
suspended until September 2006 - a bus service
replaces it to Hatton Cross.
A 'travelcard' for all londons underground (the 'Tube') and bus services (and some trains, trams, reduced fare boats etc) costs £12sterling if bought before 09:30 and £6sterling after 09:30. A Visitor ticket might be even better & you can buy before you go - see link below. By underground/tube you'd go to Westminster station and walk across Westminster Bridge (which is pretty cool). Changing at Hammersmith or Action Town (bit exposed to the wind & rain) might be easiest because that there are no stairs (Heathrow is Piccadilly (dark blue) line, Westminster is District (green) line). ) Be warned that you might have to stand and the Piccadilly line is usually pretty crowded past Acton/Hammersmith! If it's your first time , or you're going to be tired, the shuttle is more expensive, but you know you're going to get there, hardly any shlepping baggage about....and you get to see a little bit of scenery on the way in. tube ticket summary: http://tinyurl.com/4llf2 visitor ticket http://tinyurl.com/3vd5b Have a good 'un Stewart London, UK |
