Subject: Dial-a-tour: cellphone-guided tours |
Hi Ziners
In today's Globe and Mail there is an interesting article about using a mobile phone for self-guided tours. One example is Talking Streets which has tours of Boston, New York and Washington. They are narrated by celebrities and historical audio clips. http://www.talkingstreet.com/ Evidently Larry King does some of the Washington tour. There are London walking tours too - http://www.handheldhistory.com/ Listen to Stephen Fry and Joanna Lumley tell you about London's Blue Plaques. Other US ones are: Concord, Mass. and the Alamo http://www.spatialadventures.com/ For the whole article and more tours, see http://tinyurl.com/bjvu5 Who would you like to narrate a guided tour? Where? Frances Toronto, Canada |
