Charging a surcharge for taking credit cards is prohibited in the agreements that a bank or credit card processor has with a vendor - I think, though that this is just a US thing - a lot of travel companies outside the US routinely add a surcharge. When I worked as a travel agent I found this to be common with tour companies outside the US. I would generally argue with the supplier about it, but they told me they didn't have that restriction.Where is your walking tour company based?
