|Subject: France Travel in May|
I just ran across this info and thought that I would pass it along.
If you are planning a trip to France in May, beware the numerous holidays that may have an impact on your travels: May 1st (Fête du Travail), May 5th (Ascension), May 8th (Armistice WWII), May 16th (Monday of Pentecost).
Expect the post office, banks and some shops to be closed; traffic on the roads and railroads will be heavy. Also, Mother's Day falls on May 8th in the US but on May 29th in France.
Have fun, I wish that I was going with you. Barbara, basking in the warmth of Calif. wine country
