Subject: Re: Nova Scotia Vs PEI - Canada
Hi Marco,

Glad to hear that you are coming back to Canada!

In some ways, these are very different provinces. Although I like PEI, it has fewer "sights" but there are wonderful seascapes and beaches. Friendly people. One possibility is bicycling. The island is very flat and roads are relatively quiet. Cycling holidays are very popular. We have had a camping holiday there.

I see also that there are shuttle buses between Charlottetown and the national park (and Green Gables).

There are also shuttle services between Halifax and Charlottetown. http://www.gov.pe.ca/visitorsguide/gettinghere/index.php3

Nova Scotia has more obvious "sights" - Halifax has historic areas, museums etc. Not too far away is Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg. I enjoyed the reconstructed French fortress, Louisbourg. http://fortress.uccb.ns.ca/ http://www.halifax.ca/metrotransit/visitors.html http://visitors.halifax.ca/historic-halifax.shtml http://www.pier21.ca/

Cape Breton Island and the Cabot Trail, the fabulous road that circles Cape Breton are very popular. There are tours from Baddeck.

I have visited Nova Scotia several times and enjoy it. Many other areas such as the Annapolis Valley but so little time!
