A colleague is planning to zip over to Paris in early August (yes, they know Paris is "deserted" then except for tourists but it's school holiday time for them!)

They will be arriving on the Eurostar from London and were wondering about a 3 star hotel which will give them a safe but flavourful visit to Paris. Any suggestions? They would want a room for the three of them, private facilities and a moderate price tag. I suggested that they not stay near Gare du Nord. If I recall, it isn't particularly interesting.

Any suggestions that a young teen with parents in tow would like to see?
