As far as I know and have experienced, there is only one type of ATM in France, and they work just as they do in the US (most are made by US companies, such as NCR). They require the standard four digit PIN. Nearly all of the French ATMs are located at banks, such as BNP Paribas, Credit Lyonnais, Credit Agricole and Societe Generale.

Your debit or credit card should work without a problem as long as they have a four digit code.
